Well known popular top chef Paul O'Gorman of Killarney's Killeen House will provide people with a sound knowledge of food basic cooking techniques and some tricks of the trade to create mouth-watering starters, main courses, and desserts including baking, in an easy-going atmosphere.  All recipes will be provided with simple instructions.

This six weeks course will provide people with a basic introduction to Genealogy.  It will include access to 1901 and 1911 Censuses, Church Records and Land Records among others.  This is a practical course and each person will be able to access their own individual family records.

This gardening course is designed to suit those who enjoy gardening.  Both beginners and seasoned gardeners should find this course interesting, the information is applicable to those starting a new garden, begnining a vegetable garden, or maintaining an established garden.  All aspects of gardening are covered - each class is committed to a particular subject, among which: garden design, vegetable growing, the basics of plant science, use of colour, pests and diseases as well as general maintenance, lawn care and pruning.  There is also a practical class devoted to plant propagation.  In each class time is allocated to broadening plant knowledge - "What Plant Where? - as well as answering particular questions students may have.  In all aspects organic and sustainable alternatives are offered - with a class set aside for organic growing, permaculture and pollinator friendly gardening.  Students taking the class are welcome to bring in projects, and if appropriate we can discuss and use them as class material.  The classes are informal, and questions are always encouraged.

This class is a basic digital photography class.  The aim of the class is to explain guidelines on how to compose photographs as well as explaining the basic functions of standard compact digital cameras/digital SLR cameras and to teach people how to load photographs onto a computer and store and orgnse them properly.  An overview of post processing will also be covered.  Basic computer knowledge is a requirement for this class.

This course is an introduction for those who would like to learn flower arranging skills.  Decorate your home and have fun with flowers and plants in an enjoyable atmosphere.   Flower arrangements made on the night will be raffled to the class, so if you are lucky you could go home with a beautiful flower arrangement!

Award wining designer Karyn Moriarty is deligted to be running classes again. Dressmaking offers the learners a wonderful opportunity to create their own designs. The course will allow the learner to respond creatively to sewing and develop their design sills using fabric.  Discover how to create an outfit from beginning to end.  Develop an understanding of process involved in cutting patterns and construction.  Acquire an acceptable level of competency in specific sewing techniques and to have fun.  Course participants are required to bring their own sewing machine.
