Killarney Community College, Who’s Got Talent Final 2017 was held on Thursday March 16th.  The event was organised by Ms. Mary Fuller, Ms. Denise O’Sullivan and Ms. Joanna Hughes.  This is the 9th year of this very successful event which showcased the vast talents within the college.  There has been six weeks of auditions and the final 9 acts ranging from dancing, singing and instrumental playing,  battled it out in the Grand Final.  The final 9 acts on the day included students from 1st yr to 6th yr. The glamorous judges for the competition were,

Ms. Siobhan O’Brien, Mr. Brian Hehir, and Mr. Mike Lynch and student judge Abigail Graham.  Winners of the competition received trophies and vouchers.   According to Ms. Hughes “ The school’s spirit is uplifted on days like today when the whole school community shares their many talents through drama, song or instrumental playing”.  According to Principal Stella Loughnane  “This show was one of the highlights in the Arts calendar as it is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the amazing talents of the students”  The winner of the talent show was first year student Sinead Gleeson who sang  Ed Sheeran Lego House to her own guitar accompaniment.  2nd Place was Kirill Healy who played a set of jigs on tin whistle and 3rd place was awarded to Ethan McKeon who sang Sam Smith Writing on the Wall. The buzz and excitement echoed through the halls of the college,  a wonderful ending to this school term.
